WHAT DO I NEED TO START?
A leotard/bathing suit and shoes
(approximately after 3 weeks the correct grooming will need to commence)

Class numbers are limited for safety regulations and for student
to receive the best attention possible.

UNIFORMS
Students under 7 years are expected to wear a light pink leotard & skirt
with their hair tied up neatly. This will allow students to move freely.
Students 7-11 years wear either a light or hot pink leotard with either a
pink skirt or dance junction pants hair tied up neatly (students need to have a skirt for ballet). 
Students over 11 years are encouraged to dress in what they
feel most comfortable in either a leotard, Dance Junction top & pants as long as it is appropriate for their specific class, which allows all body movement to be visible.
Students are required to wear dance shoes in class for safety, and to gain full potential.

MERCHANDISE
Dance Junction sells a range of different clothing that make great birthday and Christmas presents. This merchandise is great for children & parents to wear in dance class or at public events. Please check with staff to see what is available for purchase.

TERM DATES – No Dance Class on Public Holiday’s             

TERM 1 – Saturday 28th January – Friday 30th March
TERM 2 - Saturday 14th April – Friday 22nd June
TERM 3 - Saturday 7th July – Friday 14th September
TERM 4 - Saturday 6th October –Friday 7th December

PUBLIC HOLIDAYS & CYCLONES
Dance Junction will not hold classes if fallen on a public holiday during a dance term.
If a cyclone warning has been announced and is to arrive on the day of dance class,
the class will be cancelled due to safety and road restrictions. Children are welcome to
attend another class through the same week otherwise it will be a missed class.

PERFORMANCE
At the end of each year there will be an opportunity for all students to participate in the concert.  This allows students to show family members and friends what they have been working hard to achieve through the year.  Performing on stage creates confidence and is a reward for all the hard work (students who take part will receive a medal or trophy).

EISTEDDFODS
Opportunities exist for students to participate in eisteddfods and training will be incorporated within student’s classes.  It is most valuable for students to participate to enhance their confidence, stage experience and team work. Within the eisteddfods there are group, duos and solos to compete in.  There are limited available solo or duo lessons for students, be quick!

OTHER RELEVENT INFO
Please inform your child’s dance teacher if your child is going to be away or if sick.
No refunds given for classes unattended
An annual membership fee of $30 per student applies
If paying by credit card please note there is a surcharge of $2
Dance Junction reserves the right if required to change class times, change teachers, or cancel classes if necessary.
